Our special class schedule is now as follows:
PE: Mondays and Wednesdays
Music: Tuesdays and Fridays
Students should have about 30-45 minutes of homework each night, but I try to give class time to get started on an assignment. Many students will use that time to get their work done so they don't have anything to do at home. There are a few students who may have more homework than others possibly due to being out of the class for BAND, or if they don't use their time wisely. Let me know if you are seeing any problems with homework.
Socio-emotional goals: We encourage students to:
be kind to one another;
Ask others how they are doing;
strike up a conversation with someone;
help others in need; show empathy
Do not engage in gossip.
Please make sure your child dresses appropriately for school. We seem to have many students who come to school without coats or gloves on cold days.
Please send in Boxtops! Our school uses the money to purchase things for our PE program, library, and activities for the kids. Every little clip of a boxtop helps!
If you check the REMIND tab, you will find all messages that I send to the class participants.
Students who are in band need to remember that "Band is not an excuse" for not having homework completed on time. If it becomes a problem, our band teacher will be notified and the student could possibly be removed from band.
